Design Engineer

Julie Le Négaret graduated with a Meng in Mechanical Engineering from the Université de Technologie de Compiègne (France) in 2019. Based in Edinburgh, she specialises in the design and analysis of renewable energy and energy storage systems. Julie has been developing underground energy storage solutions using gravity and hydrogen storage technologies when she was working as a Mechanical Engineer at Gravitricity Ltd. Prior to this she had experience in aerospace in two companies, designing avionic equipment and as a production engineer. Julie’s achievements have been recognised, as she was awarded the Innovator Award at the Young Professionals Green Energy Awards 2023.  After the skies of avionics, and the depths of underground energy storage: Julie joined Mocean in 2024 to make waves in the renewable energy sector.
